Salute to Summer Festival 2022

La Vista’s annual celebration has been completely reimagined! 

If you missed our 2021 event on the City Hall Campus, you won’t want to miss the 2022 festival! Kick off summer with a one-day extravaganza!

The schedule of events will delight young and old alike with fun for all ages, including a parade, entertainment, games, car show and fireworks display! 

Stay tuned for more information!

Event participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

1:30-8:30 p.m.
Festival grounds open
Inflatables and Yard Games

1:30-10 p.m.
Shuttles from City Centre Parking Garage #1 and City Park

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. 
Community Cookout (while supplies last)

1:30-3 p.m.
Veterans Project

3 p.m.
Food trucks and snack vendors

3-9 p.m.
Car Show & Shine, La Vista Keno

3-9:30 p.m.
Entertainment from main stage (bands to be named soon)

3-10 p.m. - Live Music

4:45 p.m. - Omaha Beat Brigade
6:30 p.m. - Matt Cox & the Marauders
8:15 and 10 p.m. - Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal

Fireworks Show (Central Park Lake)

Parking for this event will be available in the street on Park View Boulevard as well as the following locations:

Harrison Street Baptist Church (8015 Harrison St.)
Bethany Funeral Home and vacant lot to the east (8201 Harrison St.)
Along Park View Boulevard 

Free shuttle buses will also be available from two pick-up locations: 

La Vista City Park Ballfields (7629 Josephine St.) 
La Vista City Centre Parking Garage (8121 City Centre Dr.).
Parking at the shuttle stops is free and the buses will run continually for the duration of the event until after the fireworks show. Per federal regulations for public transportation, face masks will be required for all shuttle passengers. 

Event participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
The fireworks show will be shot from Central Park Lake and can be viewed from the event site on the City Hall Campus.
