"Missouri River, Trading Posts, and Nathan's Lake" Presentation by Ira Nathan
Ira Nathan will be giving a presentation on behalf of the Sarpy County Museum. His presentation titled, "Missouri River, Trading Posts, and Nathan's Lake" will be held February 28th at 2pm. He will be discussing the Missouri River and trading posts along it, including notable trading figures, history and place of these trading posts, and their effects on the community. Nathan will also be discussing Nathan's Lake, which in 1909 was the center of social life for Omaha Jews who wanted to experience the rural life, and was the home of the first JCC summer camp, Camp Morris Levy. There will be a short Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
